Valentina Viktorovskaia is a graduate student in the History Department studying comparative colonialism in the late Russian Empire and Mandatory Palestine. She is particularly interested in how Jews played as both subjects and agents of empire in various colonial contexts and how their relationships to both the colonized and colonizers transformed during migration.
